The goal of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is to provide exceptional training for the next generation of pulmonary/critical care physicians, and to provide an experience that will allow graduates to be successful in a career path of their choosing. We are one of the largest programs in the United States with over twenty fellows in various forms of Pulmonary and/or Critical Care Medicine training. The medical school faculty of 30 full-time hospital-based Pulmonary/Critical Care clinicians and research scholars provide a broad and diverse environment for clinical education and research training. The Critical Care Fellowship is designed to have trainees immersed in the bedside management of a variety of critical illnesses early in training, with an evolution towards more in-depth exposure to skills such as ExtraCorporeal Life Support (ECLS) and research later in the curriculum.
