Everything You Need to Know About Acne
Acne is something that most of us deal with for some part of our life. However, there are acne reversal treatment options available. In this video, you will learn about acne and how to treat it.
Your body uses sebaceous glands under your skin to lubricate your hair and skin. They produce sebum which washes dead skin cells out of your pores. The issue arises when your body produces too much sebum or dead skin cells. They then clog up your pores. The clog allows bacteria to grow which create acne. Examples include whitehead, blackheads, and pimples. This issue can be worsened due to hormonal changes, bacteria, genetics, and certain medications.
There are many medications on the market to help treat acne. For example, Benzoyl Peroxide kills bacteria and unclogs the pores. On the other hand, Salicylic Acid prevents the body from producing too many dead skin cells which clog up pores. Lactic Acid can help remove dead skin cells.
If these medications are not working, there are some stronger options. These include vitamin A, topical antibiotics, or a combination of several options. Oral antibiotics, Isotretinoin, and Corticosteroid injections may also be prescribed.
